The title of the installation “Garden of Export Delights” is a ‘garden’ with small quilts on a clothesline and ‘flowers’ made of bottle caps, tea bag strings, and estrogen.  Marks made by needles, threads and knots give the sewing a rougher and “unfinished” look, in contrast to the intricate and meticulous handiwork that traditionally constitutes the “feminine” crafts exported to the Western consumer. Within three hanging pagodas, covered with spices, a three-channel video piece entitled “Motionsickness,” which explores globalization through frenetic and disorienting landscapes of Spain, Trinidad and the United States.
